I have to say, Sweden has some awesome musicians. I’m not sure if this is genetics, or if it is so cold here in the winter that everyone just stays in a practices on their guitar, but in any case I’m impressed!
This recent Swedish Gem, Breakpoint, I recently came across – but in a really round about way! I actually met one of the band members on a flight home from San Francisco. I was moving to Sweden – he was returning home from a trip around the world. We chatted and hung out for our long flight and after, and later became Facebook friends. He later suggested I become a fan of Breakpoint’s fan page on Facebook. It was here on the Fan Page that I first got to hear their tunes… And I loved it!
The have a great beat, the singer has an amazing voice, and they are something I would definitely add to my playlist, somewhere in between Nirvana and Soundgarden. Only wish they had a music video I could embed on my blog! Grrrr… no worries, you can check them out on the Facebook fan page or on their MySpace page.
Breakpoint is definitely a band to look out for. Now stop reading and go listen to their awesome tunes!
