Every year in summer the town I live in, Skellefteå, in Norrland, Sweden has a huge city festival, with live music, booths with things for sale and a little carnival. We went last year during the day because it was free (tickets for the live concerts are pretty expensive). It was a lot of fun. Well, I just found out via Twitter that Robyn, the Swedish singer, will be performing this year at Skellefteå‘s Stadsfesten!

How cool is that? I first heard about her on Perez Hilton, she is a great singer, I love her music, and better yet she is Swedish! If you haven’t heard of Robyn before, check out her music videos. In January of 2009 she won the Swedish Grammis for Best Live Act for 2008 and just released her fifth album in November of 2010. Its very cool she is coming to our small town, rock on!

So awesome that she will be in Skellefteå!

  5. I remember listening to Robyn growing up, she was one of my favorites and still is. I was baffled to learn she was Swedish- but then again I was baffled to hear a lot of things are Swedish that I didn’t know about, its like you open your eyes to a whole new world thats been right in front of you.
