In earlier posts, I described my adventures going to Drangsmark Museum and moose hunting. Few things are quite as scintillating as sloughing around looking at historical monuments or chasing after large, oaf-like creatures, but rest assured that life in Sweden has a great deal more to offer.
| National Parks | Karlstad | Orsa | Lake Vänern | Lake Vättern |
| Linköping | Stockholm | Skellefteå | Finland | Varberg |
While Stockholm is the self proclaimed the “Capital of Scandinavia”, there are many other cites in Sweden that are worth a visit. Karlstad is a beautiful city by Lake Vättern, and is known as the city of the sun. Linköping, famous for its Canal, is another cute city only a few hours from Stockholm. If you are looking to go north, why not stop by the small town of Skellefteå where this Swedish Freak lives!
If cities aren’t your thing, then you have come to the right place as Sweden does not lack in nature! Sweden’s National Parks are spread out throughout the country and are completely free for visitors. Small tourist towns like Orsa are focused only on the nature the area provides. Both Lake Vättern and Lake Vänern are breathtaking and are not only visited for being the two largest lake in Sweden.
As I am able to travel more through Sweden I will update these sections are share the wonders this country has to offer!
